The Assembly of Women for Development and the Struggle against Social Exclusion is a non profit association of researchers in the field of social sciences based in Rome (Italy), in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC)

  Spheres of interest and themes
Starting from a gender standpoint, ASDO's activities concern the set of problems of development and underdevelopment affecting the fate of contemporary societies. These activities lie within a social research programme geared to acknowledging the primacy of actors, that is to say, human resources and leaders, and which deals with issues such as the governance of large-scale phenomena and change processes, or science, technology and innovation.

The themes of interest for ASDO include:

- Women's contribution to scientific and technological research
